Europe’s biggest nuclear power plant ON FIRE after being attacked by Russian tanks

During severe battle between Russian and Ukrainian forces, a fire broke out in a training building near Europe’s largest nuclear power plant, Ukraine’s official emergency service stated on Friday.

The background levels of radiation at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power station have not altered, according to a spokeswoman for the plant.
The plant’s director informed Ukraine 24 TV that radiation security had been ensured.

Smoke and flames appeared to be emerging from an unidentified building in a video feed from the facility south-east of Kyiv.

Reuters was unable to confirm the information immediately, including the severity of any fire.

In an online statement, the mayor of the nearby town of Energodar stated that there has been heavy fighting in the area roughly 550 kilometres south-east of Kyiv.
He stated that there had been casualties but did not elaborate.
