A man pleaded guilty to stealing a dog from his neighbour and taking it to his caravan to have sex with it.
In the County Court of Victoria on Monday, Paul Walton, 53, confessed the hideous act.
The court heard police discovered pornography playing on a TV when they entered his caravan on April 7 of this year in Ardmona, near Shepparton, Victoria.
The inside of the 12-year-old kelpie cross named Gemma was “visibly distressed” and was brought to the vet.
Prosecutor Stephen Devlin said that after the dog went missing on April 6, police were called.
Its owner, a farmer, recalled earlier that day seeing Walton’s car on the property.
Walton pleaded guilty to dog theft, bestiality, and possession of a cannabis-related substance discovered in the caravan when police arrived to save the dog.
