Former AFL player Ben Cousins has been jailed for stalking his former partner for seven months.
Since April, Cousins has been behind bars, meaning he will have completed his full term within 15 days.
He was found not guilty of violating a Violence Restraining Order (VRO) on 20 counts.
Since April, when he was denied bail, the former West Coast player has been behind bars.
Magistrate Brian Mahon said at the time that it gave him “no pleasure” to conclude that if he was released on parole, there were no conditions he could enforce that would deter Cousins from offending.
The 41-year-old has been fighting drug problems and has been in and out of prison in recent years.
