After testing positive for coronavirus, US President Donald Trump was admitted to hospital.
After the diagnosis on Friday, President and wife Melania Trump was separated and treated at the White House.
As a precautionary measure, his doctors say, Trump was transferred to Walter Reed Medical Center.
As he boarded the Marine One helicopter, wearing a mask, the President was seen giving his thumbs up to the cameras.
“Out of an abundance of caution, and at the recommendation of his physician and medical experts, the President will be working from the presidential offices at Walter Reed for the next few days,” a statement from the White House said.
“President Trump appreciates the outpouring of support for both he and the First Lady.”
The statement said Trump “remains in good spirits, has mild symptoms, and has been working throughout the day.”
