The immediate aftermath of an unprovoked coward-punch attack is captured by a troubling still from a CCTV camera.

The one-punch attack took place on 18 September in Sydney’s Glebe.

A 60-year-old man has been left with major head injuries as the police seek to arrest his teenage attacker.

In an effort to locate him, New South Wales Police on Tuesday released CCTV footage of the suspect, thought to be in his 20s.

He was walking along Glebe’s Bay Street when he ran into an older man.

Then the younger man turns and hits the older man in the back of his head before he flees.

Prior to the incident, they were not related to each other.
