Virus Testing Site Is Set on Fire by Suspects in Melbourne

A coronavirus test site was set on fire and a marquee was destroyed overnight.

The test tent in Mernda, in the north of Melbourne, was closed Monday night at the time of the fire.

Emergency services were called upon to put out the blaze after the fire was discovered by a security guard on duty.

At the time two security guards were on service.

One side of the marquee sustained minor damage from the flames.

Police are investigating the incident and are attempting to talk to three men in their 20s who were talked to shortly before the fire by the security guards.
