Victoria’s coronavirus case numbers remain steady, as the state reports under 150 cases on its fifth day.
The Department of Health and Human Services reported on Friday that 113 new cases of the virus had occurred in the last 24 hours.
12 more deaths have also occurred, raising the death toll of the state to 497.
This comes after Thursday has 113 cases too, Wednesday has 149 cases, Tuesday has 148 cases and Monday has 116.
Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews has not yet announced what restrictions could be relaxed in September at the end of Stage 4.
“This strategy is working, these numbers are coming down,” he said.
“We are probably ahead of where we expected to be.”
