Uber-rich Melbourne family escapes lockdown on a superyacht

A wealthy Victorian family has fled the tight lockdowns of Victoria’s Coronavirus and moved to sunny Queensland on their luxury superyacht sailing up the east coast.

Together with his wife, their son and the girlfriend of their son, Hannah Fox, the millionaire construction magnate Mark Simonds made the journey north along with three crew, with six stops along the way.

Last month, Hannah Fox ‘s father, Peter Fox, the heir to the Linfox trucking empire, moved his family from Melbourne to the Gold Coast.

A Current Affair captured the Simonds family and Hannah’s vision of enjoying the two-week boat trip, drinking champagne, and apparently lapping their new freedom found.
