An elderly man carrying a walking stick has reportedly spat on a Melbourne driver while getting off a bus.
Police said the bus had stopped around 11.15am on July 2 outside the Brunswick Railway Station to let the man off.
But as he got off the bus he spat on the driver before leaving on foot.
He was headed in direction of Moonee Ponds.
It is assumed that the man was about 80 years old, wearing a long blue coat, brown hat and holding a walking stick and a blue holding bag.
Police also released CCTV stills from a man’s bus that they think will help with their enquiries.
Anyone who suspects the man was encouraged to contact crime stoppers.
