Thrill seekers and daredevils take note – the fastest roller coaster in the Southern Hemisphere is to be unveiled on Australian shores in only a matter of months.
The DC Rivals Hypercoaster is planned for completion in October as the latest addition to Queensland’s Warner Bros Movie World can hurtle brave theme park enthusiasts down its track at speeds of up to 115 kilometres an hour.
The ride also claims to be the largest of any this side of the equator, coming in at 62 metres tall and 1.4 kilometres long.
Families are invited to come and enjoy its heroes and super villains theme while taking in the rides numerous thrills.
The latest attraction will be built just in time for all summer visitors to enjoy but guests are warned its not for the faint-hearted.
‘Reaching speeds of up to 115km/h, guests will be taken on an exhilarating journey as they experience 4.3G forces and a series of twists and turns along the 1.4km track, almost double the length of any other ride on the Gold Coast,’ CEO Clark Kirby said.
‘The DC Rivals HyperCoaster will also feature a world-first train design giving selected riders the opportunity to ride backwards as they take on one of the world’s first non-inverted loops’, he added.
